Annoyed With Survey Companies

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

I like doing surveys and I like getting paid for surveys. What I don’t like is feeling like I have done a survey and getting told I don’t qualify for doing the complete survey. Three times in the past tow days I have done surveys that wasted over 10 minutes of my time to get told I don’t qualify. One of them I was 95% done with and this was with a trusted company too.

Frankly I feel like I was ripped off and this type of behavior will result in less and less people actually participating in online surveys. In at least one of those surveys I am sure I qualified and the company just ended the survey so I would not get paid. If you have had any experiences like this please feel free to tell us about them.

While this blog serves the purpose of informing people about good paying survey companies, and the scam companies as well, it also can serve another purpose as well; one of warning to the industry at large that we consumers are not willing to be screwed over for your bottom line and profit. You guys make a lot of money off our opinions and we deserve our fair share. By now the industry has to be aware of just how powerful blogs like these are at informing large amounts of people about issues that concern them and their interests. Consider this a heads up notice that the I am watching the industry at large and will start naming names if this behavior continues to occur.

We are all aware that there are many reasons a person can be disqualified from a survey, but all those questions should be at the beginning of the survey, not the middle or the end after data than can be of value has been collected. This is how it has been for the past seven years I have done online surveys and this is how it will be in the future if you wish to continue your lucrative business model.
